“Like many of the places in the north of England which were once rich industrial towns, Staffordshire has quite a scarred landscape. There hasn’t been much investment and so what you are left with are random bits of identity which don’t conform to one cultural type.”

Liz Lock & Mishka Henner have worked on documentary projects together since 2005. Their work has been exhibited in the UK, Poland and China and has been published in printed media such as the Daily Telegraph Magazine, the Financial Times, Metro, Flux and the Idler.

Much of their project based work involves collaborating with the subjects of their photographs, delivering workshops, sharing personal and public photographic archives and gathering oral histories and testimonies.
